ORGANIZATION HISTORY
A dedicated Dog Park concept was proposed to Glen Rock Borough Council in 2013 by Michelle Hillock – a local Girl Scout. She researched best practices and conducted a Dog-Walk-A-Thon alomh with Siobhan Duggan to raise funds for a local animal shelter and raise awareness of the need for a dedicated Dog Park. Michelle also requested the park be dedicated to the 9/11 Search and Rescue Dogs that had never been formally recognized for their contributions. The Council approved the request in 2015 and donated borough land for the park (Resolution 238-15) with the stipulation the creation of the park be privately funded.
